Do you service industrial or commercial sewing machines?

No, we only service home sewing machines. However, if you need service for an industrial or commercial machine, we’ll gladly recommend trusted local resources that specialize in that type of repair.

What common sewing machine problems can you fix?

Our certified technicians can handle most common issues, including skipping stitches, broken needles, tension problems, and jammed bobbins. We also address more complex issues such as timing misalignment and motor concerns. 

Do you provide training or setup help when I purchase a new sewing machine?

Yes! Every sewing machine purchase comes with a complimentary “Getting to Know Your Machine” session to walk you through setup, threading, and key features. Plus, our staff is always here to answer questions and provide ongoing support, no matter where you purchased your machine.

What supplies do I need for class, and can I buy them on-site?

Each class has a specific supply list, available in the class description or from your instructor. Most supplies, including fabric, notions, thread, and stabilizers, can be purchased directly in-store, so you’ll always be prepared.

Do I need to bring my machine to class, or can I use one at the store?

All of our classes are designed for students to use their own sewing machine, since it helps you learn faster and get comfortable with your equipment. If you don’t own one yet, we carry a wide selection of new and used sewing machines available for purchase.

What types of sewing classes do you offer besides beginner basics? (e.g., quilting, embroidery, garment construction)

Our full class calendar is updated monthly. We offer a variety of classes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced sewists, including quilting, embroidery, garment construction, and specialty projects. Our class calendar is updated monthly so you can always find something new to try.

Do you offer private sewing lessons?

Sometimes. It depends on the instructor, your child’s age, and their previous sewing experience. If you’d like to sign up a child or teen, give us a call at 817-590-4447 and we’ll help you find the right class fit.

Can I bring my child or teen to a sewing class?

It depends on the instructor, the child’s age, and their experience level. Some classes are beginner-friendly and perfect for younger sewists, while others may require more advanced skills. Sewing is a wonderful way for kids and teens to build creativity, patience, and confidence, and we’re happy to guide you toward the best fit for their age and interests. Do you offer pickup and delivery for sewing machine repairs in DFW?

No, we don’t currently offer pickup or delivery service. However, our staff is always happy to carry your machine to and from your car, making drop-off and pick-up easy and stress-free. 

Can you repair vintage or antique sewing machines?

Yes. Our technicians service all makes and models, including vintage and antique sewing machines. Whether it’s a beloved family heirloom or a collector’s piece, we’ll carefully restore it to working order whenever possible.

What is the average turnaround time for sewing machine repairs?

Most in-house sewing machine repairs are completed in under a week, depending on the complexity of the repair. If special parts need to be ordered, the turnaround time may be longer. We keep you updated so you know when your machine will be ready to sew again.
